Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. The elegant beauty of Rene Marie can be seen in her lengthy career as an actress and performer. The career of her was launched with a modeling job in the year 1970 and she quickly rose to fame. The beginning of the next decade she studied the arts and performed before appearing on stage on stage in Los Angeles and elsewhere in California. Her first screen appearance was in ABCs 1989 drama Sable, where she appeared as Eden Kendell. Two years later she played Tom Berengers love interest in her debut film Major League. She was initially doubtful about her acting abilities but the critics became confident after her steady performances. Rose Namajunas has been one of the UFC's most well-known female athletes. Her first fight was as an amateur fighter, competing at various regional competitions. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her on and later she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. Her accomplishments both in and out from the Octagon have turned her into an international brand after she joined the UFC. Namajunas, a Lithuanian-immigrant, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Rose participated in kickboxing and basketball while growing up. At 18 years old she had her first professional fight at Invicta Fighting Championships in which she fought two times by submission. It caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to join UFC s strawweight division at the age of 22. Rose has had highs & lows during her professional career. She has always come out the winner. Rose defeated Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout after just three minutes of Round One. Rose was also awarded Fighter Of The Night and made history as it marked the first time women had ever competed in a tournament in a major promotional organization worldwide. Following this victory Namajunas went onto have several victories, including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC following these victories .
